  • Le Pays De L’or Noir by The Narcicyst (Yassin Alsalman)

As ARAB WINTER is a rendition of a street the night after its’ people reach its’ goal, Le Pays De L’or Noir is one of three installation pieces by the Narcicyst in the space.  With a stack of televisions falling apart, one spewing oil and gold, while others play footage of the ‘91 Gulf War, this piece is a hommage to the TinTin novel by the same name, but also a play on the fact our countries are viewed as resources to be channeled and not a land for a people. Allahdamercy.

  • Warchestra by Sundus Abdul Hadi (Floor Design by El Seed)

Warchestra is a painting/sound series by Sundus Abdul Hadi re-imagining the images of conflict and juxtaposing them with cultural and musical iconography that is deleted by the theatre of war. In Warchestra, the lost elements of music, culture, and history are replacing the weapons of violence and the destruction of Iraq that took place over the past decades. www.warchestra.com
